Mailbag #7: Bara Pokemon Team and Norns

Anonymous Asked:

Hey BaraGamer, do you play pokemon? Could we get your advice on the most bara pokemon to flesh out our teams with if you do? Thanks!

When I was younger I used to play Pokemon, but kind of fell out of it. I felt that as I grew older, the games didn’t evolve (no pun intended) with me so I quit playing after Ruby and Sapphire. I’ve seen many Bara Artists draw certain Pokemon in particular, so if it were me, my team would be:

Machoke, Charizard, Ursaring, Slaking, Lucario, Emboar

Emboar is a new one, he gets drawn in all sorts of situations, sometimes taking off his suit. But why talk about Pokemon when the Trainers and Gym Leaders are hunky as hell. Like Chuck for instance…

Zangief Looks Cute In New Movie Trailer

So there’s this new trailer for a Disney movie called Wreck-it Ralph, which has a pretty cool concept. Basically, it’s about a videogame villian turning a new leaf. Sounds pretty typical for a Disney movie right? Until Eggman, Qbert, M. Bison, and Bowser show up, then suddenly…

CUTE ZANGIEF!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Zangief this attractive.  Then his accent.. his accent just makes me melt like butter.

Disney what have you done!?

The Guys of Anime North (Bara Cosplays)

Hey, it’s Darksand, reporting from the Anime North in Toronto, Ontario! At Anime North, there are a ton of things to see and do; from panels, to competitions, to gaming, and even shopping in the dealers room.

The Bara Yaoi Bear?

I liked Anime North’s gay friendly atmosphere. There were some interesting Yaoi panels and even a panel on the world history of homosexuality. My favorite panel (as it is every year) is the Yaoi Life Drawing Panel. If you ever have trouble drawing anatomy, there’s actual models posing for you, and you’re free to take pictures for reference.

We had many guests attend this year including the talented Japanese voice actor Akira Sasanuma (most known for work in Gundam SEED as Dearka Elsman), and J. Micheal Tatum (Sebastian Michaelis in Black Butler).

There’s plenty of places to shop too. The dealer’s room has your anime merchandise while artists at the Artist’s All  sell prints of their amazing work! Of course there’s the Nominoichi which is basically an anime flea for buying used goods. For all those who love to dance there’s the Otakubaloo and J-pop rave, and the Moonlight ball with dancing, classic gaming, and a buffet! This is only the tip of the iceberg of what you can do and see at Anime North!

Isaac Jones and Bruno Knight; Gay Circus

Wow it’s been a long time since a porn post. So the wrestling singlet contest entry had me thinking about that Lycra fetish. I’ve seen guys wear it but never thought about the sex appeal behind it.

It’s quite interesting though, these singlets can turn into SFW porn once those hard-ons start bulging through. So today we take a look at two bearded fellows, Isaac Jones and Bruno Knight, in a circus act equipped with fire breathing acts, and gay sex. More after the jump!

SimSocializing with BaraGamers

Aaah! Did you feel that earthquake? OH MY GOSH! So today we take a look at a non-Bara game, due to their being only one body type. We sincerely hope they would add some meat to their bodies, but that’s probably something far off.

Ah yes we’ve made it to the Sim Social which has taken up practically all our time, it’s a huge time sink, filled to the brim with bugs. But due to our nostalgia with The Sims 1, and how this game is the only one that brings that style with HQ graphics, we’re pretty much addicted to this game.

The most odd thing about this game is the way my bara friends created their characters. It’s like we were all thinking the same ideas of making an attractive man. Tan + Brown/Black Hair + Beard, that’s the entire Bara formula.

Even had a buddy mention how all of us look like we’re going to the same salon. Seriously!

Being a Sims player for practically  all my life, I find this game very limiting. You can’t just buy a couch, you have to build it. You can’t just buy a room, you need to bug your facebook friends and force them to respond. You need to find materials to level up skills which can take a considerably long time to find.

Did we mention how much we hate this damn girl!

The one thing we absolutely hate is when Barbara shows up and has to inform you that you’ve run out of energy. Yes Barbara, we know!

But for those who haven’t played the game it goes like this. In order to do actions that affect your growth in the game (relationships, skills, experience points), you need to spend energy. You are given a small amount of energy which you can easily spend in a matter of minutes. Every five minutes you get ONE energy point. You can also refill energy by asking friends.

But because of how addicting this game is, and how often you’ll see Barbera, she’s become an inside meme here at BaraGamer:

  • Sorry, I can’t make the bed because I don’t have the ENERGY to do it.
  • Sure I’d help you fix the stove, if I had the ENERGY.
  • Not tonight darling, I don’t have the ENERGY.

Oh and don’t get us started on the bugs. You can request someone to become friends or build a room, but the requests don’t show up after you’ve accepted them. Or at times you may get responses way after you actually need them.

But in all with all it’s glaring faults we find the game to be charming in it’s own way. So if you’d like to friend me let me know!
