BaraGamer: Ghoat
AMG! Ghoat!
The winner of the 1st BaraGamer contest now has his own spot on the site.
Tell us about yourself: I am a tiny, spunky gamer and bear chaser. I have been playing games since the age of Atari and have loved every moment of it. My faves have to be mainly the survival horror and RPG genres. I have not realized my inner bear chaser-ness and love of bara until Barachan introduced me to the world of bears via this awesome blog. Cheers to you, Barachan!
I am passionate about my current job and I also will do anything involving theatre. I actually have my BFA in theatre performance. I like to make a complete fool out of myself at times…life is much easier once you admit you are a dork!
Online games: Currently: Final Fantasy XIV spent much time on Final Fantasy XI (6yrs), and Phantasy Star Universe (3.5 yrs) in the past other games I still play at times and love are Borderlands, Left 4 Dead, Magicka, Worms Reloaded other games I have tried have been Anima Redux Prius Online, Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online.
Bears/Bara in Media:
- Reality TV: Destin from millionaire matchmaker.
- Games: Joachim Valentine (Shadow Hearts: Covenant), Kongol (Legend of Dragoon), Gadot (Final Fantasy XIII), Wakka (Final Fantasy X), Yangus (Dragon Quest VIII)
- Movies: Loz (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children)
Now that you’re exposed to Bara how do you feel about it? I was never into the yaoi/twink style…and to find that a community of people actually exist, it is nice to find a source of real men for real men =P So, definitely a thumbsup here
Is there any particular bara artist you like? I am not too all familiar with bara as in the idea of specific artists. I am still learning in that department. So, as of now, I cannot say which I like or who they are, lol
How did you plan out making your scenes for the contest? Well, those were just screens I took in the first week or so of our playing together. Whenever I saw a cool pose or something that looked… sensual, I thought, why not and snapped screens of it. Though, none of it was directly planned for the contest. I just sort of let the moments happen as they came up and screened.
